Buu Mon Temple’s Dragon Dancers perform at most of the temple’s major celebrations. The first and biggest of them being Tet Nguyen Dan, the Lunar New Year. During the three days of celebration, the team gives a midnight performance at the temple, spends the greater part of the next two days leading parades of business owners, excited children, and curious passers-by through the local Vietnamese business district, and visits several local elementary schools. They also participate in several local cultural heritage festivals throughout southeast Texas.
