The third jewel in the Triple Gem (Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha), Buddhist monks act, in many ways, as do clergy or ministers. They conduct traditional ceremonies and services, provide pastoral care, help us understand the Dhamma, and teach mindfulness and insight meditation.
