The Buddha

ImageThe Buddha statue, the focal point of all services at the temple, sits in front of a mural painted by artist Hoang Nguyen of Orlando, Florida. The drum and bronze bell on the altar are used during celebrations and chanting. Offerings of incense, fruits, candles, and flowers are made as tokens of respect to our teacher, Sakyamuni Buddha. The balcony in the Buddha’s hall features a small gallery, currently exhibiting Buddha statues made of various materials in several Asian styles, and several sets of Chinese lotus vases.
